A spoof wellbeing conference for dark times — where laughter really is the only medicine.
In an imagined Britain not too far from now — post-Brexit, post-Covid, post-NHS — the nation’s healthcare system has been merged with the arts, and the only treatment left is laughter. Welcome to FUN CLINIC, the chaotic wellbeing conference that promises enlightenment, human connection, and the occasional existential wobble.
Audiences arrive as conference delegates and are swept into a full-venue takeover of immersive workshops, interactive encounters, and dubious “therapeutic” practices. Along the way, we follow the fragile, heartfelt journey of fellow delegate Sid, as he navigates the highs and lows of being human and discovers the power of liberating his inner clown.
Through comedy, play and connection, FUN CLINIC cracks open conversations about mental health with honesty, silliness and enormous heart — creating a space where people laugh together, talk together, and feel a little less alone.
“Great event. Me and my dad both go through depression. Both my Mum and I heard him laugh out loud after over 10 months now because of this event. It goes beyond cultures and touches our hearts not only for those going through depression but also for those who take care of them. Thank you!”
“Absolutely bloody marvelous.”
“Loved everything about it – so much spirit. You lifted us all up! Thank you so much!”
